How Much Do Live Streamers Make On Tango?

It’s no wonder that so many people are turning to streaming as a career. Live streaming is exciting, engaging, and can be done from anywhere in the world – and many are making millions doing it! But, before quitting your full-time job to become a 24/7 live broadcaster, you should know the answers to these common questions.

Is streaming a good part-time job?

Are you looking to add to your income by hanging out with people around the world and doing what you love from wherever you want, whenever you want? Then yes, we’d have to say that live streaming could be a great part-time job for you.

  • Live streaming income comes from being able to build up an audience and be there for them consistently.
  • It’s important to stream for a few hours several times a week (daily is best but not necessary).
  • Connect with people who like your content and want to pay you for it.

Slowly but surely you’ll see people coming to watch your streams. You may even start to spot some familiar names and faces – congratulations! You now have your first fans!

Make sure to give them a shoutout now and again!

The main thing to focus on in the beginning is enjoying what you’re streaming about. Whether that’s dancing, music, comedy, painting, or just talking – having a great time doing it is crucial to staying motivated and continuing to stream.

Since you’re looking to just add to your income, think of any diamond earned as a bonus for yourself. You earned $25 USD that month? Awesome! Treat yourself to take-out! You made $100 USD the second month? That’s groceries for the week! $1,000 USD?? Now we’re talking!

Can I make streaming my career?

People who get those first tastes of success are inevitably going to ask themselves the big content creator question: can I turn live streaming into my full-time job?

Unlike when you’re streaming as a hobby or for part-time profits, turning streaming into your full-time job means you are going to have to pay close attention to how much money you’re making. Like all people who leave a job with a steady paycheck and turn to supporting themselves, it also means that you’re going to have good months and bad months.

Is it worth it?

Only you can answer that:

Ask yourself if you’d be happy to stay in your 9-5 job for the rest of your life. Looking back on your work now, in 20 years, would you be satisfied that you didn’t try and turn something you love, like live streaming, into your main source of income?

Of course, there are many people on Tango who have done this very thing. Most recently, we celebrated our very first live streaming millionaire! That doesn’t mean that live streaming is going to be a simple or easy journey, but it can be very worthwhile.

Should I quit my job to start live streaming?

We don’t recommend finishing this article and then immediately going and telling your boss what you really think of them. Especially if you’ve never live streamed before.

If you plan on starting a new project live full-time live streaming, and want to only focus on that, we recommend having at least 6 months of full-time pay saved up to give you a little cushion while you build your following.

For most people though, live streaming is going to start as a hobby, maybe a part-time hustle, and then – with a little luck and some persistence – it can become your full-time gig. During that time when you’re building your audience and gaining traction, live streaming should be as your after-work side hustle.

Can I make money fast live streaming?

Most of your money from live streaming is going to come as gifts from your audience. How quickly you’re able to get those gifts is going to depend on how large of a fanbase you’re able to build.

We have numerous articles about how to increase your fanbase which you can read about here.

  • Participate in live parties and battles – meet new streamers and their fans by combining broadcasts with other livers!
  • Join in Tango events – at Tango we try and spice up your live streaming calendars by regularly putting on fun and exciting tournaments and live shows. Get exposure and dramatically increase your fame by participating in these! You dont have to be a veteran streamer either – they’re open to everyone.
  • Post on your own social – for many full-time streamers, live streaming isn’t just about going live all the time. There’s plenty of marketing and self promotion that goes on around it too. Don’t feel shy about posting on social media and inviting your friends and followers to drop in on your broadcasts.

As long as you’re following these basic tips making money probably isn’t going to be an issue – how much money you’re making is going to be the only question. If you’re starting off your streaming career you shouldn’t be expecting thousands of dollars in the first day. Give yourself time to grow, learn, and turn your fans into a lean, mean, profit machine!

How long does it take to make a full-time income?

Well, first you need to ask yourself, how much is a full-time income for you?

If you’re a student, making $1000 a month might be more than enough for you to get by. Full-time streamers are able to make that much fairly regularly! Okay, but let’s say you’re not a student who’s not okay with eating Raman noodles everyday? How long is it going to take you then?

Considering that only the top 1% of streamers are making more than $3000 a month,

How to stream with a full-time job?

This might be tricky if you’re streaming with a full-time job on the side. Or did we get that backwards?

According to behavioral expert, BJ Fogg, one of the best ways to turn any action into a full-time habit that comes naturally and effortlessly is to start small and slowly work your way up.

And when we say small we mean small.

For instance, if you want to make going live every day your habit start by just opening up the Tango app every night at the same time. That’s it. When 7 o’clock PM rolls around you’re opening up the Tango app. Not going live, not doing anything else. Just open up the Tango app at the same time each night.

Easy right? Super easy! The point isn’t to challenge yourself, it’s to make a small action into a habit. By the way, this only works if after every time you turn on that Tango app you give yourself a small celebration. We don’t mean uncorking a bottle of champagne every time, just congratulating yourself for remembering to open your live streaming app at 7 PM.

If you want to go further and start a live broadcast during these app openings – go for it! But you should view it as extra credit. Over time you’re going to notice that going live is just as natural as brushing your teeth. Finally, you can easily enjoy the fun of live and start turning that broadcasting habit into a profitable hustle!

Is streaming worth it in 2022?

In 5 short years live streaming has gone from a $30 billion USD industry to a $70 billion USD industry worldwide! By 2027 live streaming is expected to go through another huge leap to $247 billion USD!

In short, yes. We believe that now is the best time to get involved in live streaming and start capitalizing on this massive and growing market.

The bigger the audience you have already, the easier it’s going to be to grow that audience and take advantage of the newest and biggest live stream opportunities as this incredible industry continues to explode!

Even if you feel like you’re already too late to the party just remember this Chinese saying, “The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago, the second best time to plant a tree is right now.”

How much can you make streaming on Tango?

Millions.

We’re not joking. Recently Tango just celebrated our first live streaming millionaire and, based on current trends, we’re likely to welcome many more in the future.

Streamers come from all over the world and from all walks of life. The beauty of live streaming is that it doesn’t matter where you come from or what you do, all that matters is your level of passion and dedication to your craft. How determined are you to turn your talents into take home cash?

Expect to make pocket money in the beginning, but for regular streamers who are broadcasting full-time, you have a good chance to earn $1,000 if not more.
