Subscribers Are The Keys To Live Stream Success

Subscribers are your biggest and best supporters when it comes to the world of live streaming!

They get up in the morning eager to see your next broadcast, and they go to bed wondering about the next one.

Subscribers are:

  • Ready for you when you need them.
  • First to every stream.
  • Your biggest fans and gifters.
  • Eager for 100% of all your content.
  • Paying you monthly for your streams.

Have we convinced you of how great and important they are? Hopefully! Now let’s dive into how you can attract more of them to grow your channel and your income.

Create a live streaming goal

Even if it’s just making more money.

In fact, there’s nothing wrong with that goal. Just make sure that you create small, easily attainable goals, and celebrate each win.

For instance, if you just started streaming and your goal is to make $10,000, you’re going to be waiting a while before you celebrate that goal completion. Instead, let your goal be $100, $200, $500, $1000, $2000… get the idea?

One of the best ways to make that money live? Subscribers of course.

So when you make that goal of subscribers, start with a small number – let’s say, 5.

The second step to setting a goal: tell your fans about it!

People love helping people. It’s one of the most wonderful things about us. So when you tell your fans that you’re looking for 5 subscribers, they’re more likely to jump on board and help you out. Especially when you tell a fan who you already see a lot. Let them know how much it would mean to you and they’re more than likely going to start subscribing.

You’ll find that it gets easier the more subscribers you have as well. It’s an ever-increasing growth that’s both fun and profitable!

Stand out by being you!

“You are a very special person. There is only one like you in the whole world. There’s never been anyone exactly like you before, and there will never be again. Only you. And people can like you exactly as you are.”

Fred Rogers, Life’s Journeys According to Mister Rogers: Things to Remember Along the Way

That sweet quote by one Mr. Rogers perfectly describes how to stand out as a streamer. Show off your personality and find the people who will love you for it!

Subscribers are there with you for the long run. They want to stick around and pop into each and every stream that you do. So you need to have a genuine connection with the subscribers in your channel if you want to enjoy the amazing benefits.

You’re not going to get that if you’re pretending to be someone else.

That doesn’t mean you can’t borrow certain elements of other broadcasters’ streams and incorporate them into your own.

For instance some streamers:

  • Mix up their content.
  • Enjoy frequently doing battles and live parties.
  • Have wild and incredible backgrounds.
  • Throw private concerts and events for their biggest supporters.

Go to your top 10 favorite streamers and write down one or 2 things that each one of them do. See if there’s a way to incorporate them into your own stream without compromising on what makes you unique.

As a side note, if you’re new then even you probably haven’t figured out what makes your stream unique. That’s fine! Be patient, keep streaming, and take notes from the pros. In no time you will have developed your stream enough to stand out from the rest.

Give your audience real value

What do we mean by real value? We mean giving your audience something that helps them in some way.

  • Teach them something.
  • Show them something new and exciting.
  • Connect with them on a deep and personal level.
  • Be there when someone needs to talk.
  • Be the inspiration that someone needs right now.
  • Give them a positive space to help them enjoy life more.
  • Make them throw their heads back and laugh.

These are things that make your channel stand out and keep people coming back so often that they subscribe to you.

Once you begin consistently providing value, you’ll find that people are coming back more often to your stream. Like with everything else around live streaming, this takes time. So don’t be frustrated if it seems like people aren’t interested in those first few streams.

The more you go live and practice, the more entertaining/funnier/interesting you’ll become.

Give special rewards to your subscribers

Congratulations! You’ve just gotten your first few subscribers. The question on everyone’s mind is, what now?

What’s now is that you don’t stop providing that great value to your new subs. In fact, the whole reason they agreed to pay you a monthly fee is so that they can be first to all your most exclusive broadcasts.

Keeping those subscribers around is just as important as getting them in the first place. Make sure that you’re always welcoming them onto your stream with a big smile. Remember things from previous conversations and ask them about how they’re doing. There’s nothing more special than having a streamer who remembers things from your personal life and follows up on them.

After that, make exclusive broadcasts that only your subscribers can come and see. This is super easy to do: just go to live, broadcast, premium, and set the gift to be a subscription only.

Make sure you’re promoting these streams as exclusive. This is done for 2 reasons:

  1. Increases interest in subscriptions among the rest of your fans.
  2. Makes your subscribers feel more important and special.

Finally, follow up with your subscribers. Use Tango’s chat in order to text them when you’re not live. This simple but intimate way to communicate is another great tool for making your subscribers feel noticed and appreciated.

Keep your channel a positive place

This can be as simple as smiling when you see a new fan to telling jokes and uplifting stories.

People want to be around broadcasters who spread positivity. Most of the most successful Tango broadcasters are that way because they prioritize their fans and their wants. They greet everyone like “an old friend” and make sure everyone feels welcome when they step into their broadcast.

Don’t tell jokes that put people down or alienate them. That’s a surefire way to make sure that they never come back, let alone subscribe to you.

Bring your best and most positive energy. It’s the simplest and best thing you can do to not only get more subscribers and profits, but also to make the world of live a better and more enjoyable experience for everyone – especially you!
